About Chalo Kochen
Chalo Kochen means “Let's cook!”: chalo is Hindi and Gujarati for “let's go”, and kochen is German for “to cook”. We make short, cozy cooking videos with a family of red panda chefs, and we put a price tag on every dish.
Real recipes, AI pictures
The recipes are real, classic dishes, written out in full so you can cook them at home. The videos and pictures of our red panda chefs are made with AI. No red pandas were handed knives.
How we work out the prices
- Prices are estimates based on German discount supermarkets (Aldi and Lidl) in the month the recipe came out.
- We count only the amount you use, not the whole pack.
- Each line is rounded to the nearest €0.05, and the price per serving is rounded up, so we never make a dish look cheaper than it is.
- Prices differ between shops, countries and seasons, so treat them as a guide.
